The Long Island chapters completed another successful year with Best Buddies. 19 Middle Schools and 11 High Schools recruited hundreds of volunteers, planned dozens of fun events and impacted thousands of lives this school year.
Best Buddies participants enjoyed fashion shows, Prom events, Spread the Word campaigns, picnics, parties, movies, games and more! Schools formed teams and raised thousands of dollars in support of Best Buddies New York at the May 8th Long Island Friendship Walk.
We would like to welcome 5 new chapters to the Best Buddies NY family: Hauppauge HS, Massapequa HS, Manhasset HS, Mattituck Jr-Sr High School, as well as the region’s first college: Dowling College!
